The Day of Repentance and Prayer poses a challenge for many parents every year: while pupils have the day off, most parents have to go to work as usual.
To take some of the pressure off our employees on this day and offer their children something special at the same time, Katrin Göpfert has organized an exciting program this year in collaboration with Wissenswerkstatt Schweinfurt (Knowledge Workshop in Schweinfurt), of which we are a silver sponsor.
In the morning, the children could choose between two projects: “The Solar Flower” or “The Cupboard Guard.” After a short introduction and a tour of the well-equipped workshops, they were allowed to saw, drill, solder, glue, paint and wire themselves. With great enthusiasm, they created creative and technically impressive results, which they proudly took home with them at the end.
A big thank you goes to the dedicated team at the Wissenswerkstatt Schweinfurt. With a lot of patience, expertise, and enthusiasm, they answered every question and guided the children step by step through the projects.
Courses are held almost daily at the “WiWe” – for schools as well as private participants. Around 7,000 children experience hands-on technology there every year, completely free of charge thanks to many sponsors, such as the Göpfert company.
Göpfert attaches great importance to promoting young talent. After all, enthusiasm for technology cannot start early enough – in this case, as early as elementary school age.
